Embroidery Tips

  • Keep lettering above 8mm in height – depending on front style.
  • If a small font is used in a design, try stay away from ‘serif’ style fonts.

Serif Fonts and Embroidery

If you have a ‘serif’ style font which is a font with caps on the end such as the classic ‘times’ font, make sure your lettering is above 10mm in height to be able to embroidery the smaller ‘ends’ of the font with a clean embroidery.

Embroidery Area

On this Dad Style Baseball cap and this style of design we embroidered a size of 41mm in height. This didn’t over power the design area and created a well balanced design to cap balance.

Embroidery Placements

Embroidery Placements

All caps differ in size from embroidery area to area. For example most flat peak caps have a higher embroidery area than normal baseball styled caps.
